President of Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine

Dr. David Elias is President and CEO of Canadian Health Solutions. He is certified in Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine and a Certified Independent Medical Examiner with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME).
Dr. Elias is the President of the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine. He lectures on the principles of occupational medicine and the development of health care management solutions as an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University, and an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Brunswick. He has also developed and implemented nationally recognized assessment and medical management programs and conducts research to extend and improve the capabilities, outcomes, and professionalism of the practice of occupational medicine in Canada.
Dr. Elias is a founding member and Director of Health & Life Science New Brunswick, founder and Chairman of the Canadian Imaging Research Centre, Inc., cofounder and President of Phoenix Recovery Centres Inc., and founder and Chairman of the Canadian Concussion Institute. He is a graduate of Dalhousie University, where he received his medical degree and an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy.
Psychiatrist
Dr. Edward Yuzda is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians for Psychiatry. He attended the University of Alberta (BSc, Psychology), McGill University (MSc, Dean’s Honour List) and the University of Calgary (Medicine), before completing residency training in psychiatry at both Dalhousie University and the University of Toronto. Dr. Yuzda is also a Certified Independent Medical Examiner with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME). Dr. Yuzda is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine at both Memorial and Dalhousie University. His clinical areas of expertise are the psychotherapeutic and somatic treatments (including transcranial magnetic stimulation / TMS) of mood and anxiety conditions.
Psychologist
Dr. Joe Trainor is a Clinical Psychologist, licensed by the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick, with specialty training in trauma therapy, as well as suicide assessment and intervention. He attended the University of Saskatchewan (PhD, Clinical Psychology) before completing a pre-doctoral internship at Annapolis Valley Health in Nova Scotia, and a post-doctoral residency at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Psychologist
Cecile offers comprehensive assessment and therapy services to clients of all ages. She holds a master's degree in Experimental Psychology and is pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of New Brunswick. Cecile has specialized training in trauma therapy techniques and uses evidence-based approaches such as EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She also provides interventions to individuals who are dealing with health-related concerns, depression, and anxiety using an individualized acceptance-based approach.
Psychologist
Dr. Vance MacLaren has his PhD in Psychology from University of New Brunswick (2006) and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2024). He is an interim member of the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick. He has clinical training and experience in psychological assessment and intervention. Dr. MacLaren provides psychological services, such as adult assessment and therapy, under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist.
Social Worker
Joline Cormier holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Université de Moncton. She has significant experience working in the nental health and addictions field and has been working for Phoenix Recovery Center and Canadian Health Solutions for several years. In this role, Joline has learned how to implement therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy, amongst others. These are always used through a trauma-informed lens. Joline works with our psychiatrists and psychologists to offer a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care. She is also a group therapy co-facilitator, holding several Interpersonal Psychotherapy Groups for CHS and Phoenix Recovery Centre Clients. In addition, she has experience working with adults living with mental and/or physical disabilities through her experience working with Alternative Residences and The Balanced Wellness Center B&B. She is fluent in both official languages, French and English.
TMS Clinic Coordinator
Michelle Godbout is a certified NrTMS technician and TMS Clinic Coordinator. She has worked in healthcare for 20 years. She began her career working as a Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Technologist at the Saint John Regional Hospital in 2003, obtaining her degree from NBCC, PET imaging courses through BCIT and CT imaging through the medical radiation association, CAMRT. Michelle was a leader to fellow co-workers, providing training on new medical imaging equipment and software. She has been a mentor and teacher to many Nuclear Medicine students from UNBSJ and Dalhousie University over the years. She also has a certification in Health Information Management.
TMS Technician / Process Analyst
Matthew Clinton is a certified NrTMS Technician and Process Analyst. He has worked with Canadian Health Solutions since 2022. He graduated in 2021 from the University of New Brunswick Fredericton with a Bachelor of Biology-Chemistry. During his education he conducted research on the isolation of novel chemistry and therapeutics from medicinal plants under the Natural Products Research Group. He has held volunteer positions with the IMPART Research group, as well as Canadian Blood Services. Matthew's work as a Process Analyst extends across several other CHS services, most notably process development for Independent Medical Evaluations in the Ontario legal system.
TMS Technician / MRI Technologist
Jessica Robichaud is a certified NrTMS technician and MRI Technologist. She has worked in healthcare since 2018. She began her career working as an X-Ray and MRI Technologist at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. She obtained her bachelor's degree from UNB, X-Ray imaging courses from the Moncton Hospital School of Radiologic Technology, and her MRI certificate from Fanshawe College. Jessica has returned to NB after working in a private imaging clinic in New Zealand for a year and is excited to assist clients in improving their mental wellbeing. She is fluent in both official languages, French and English.
TMS Technician / Research & Product Development Associate
Tyler Savoy is a certified NrTMS technician and Research & Product Development Associate. He has worked with Canadian Health Solutions since 2020. He graduated in 2019 from the University of New Brunswick Saint John, with a BSc degree in Biology-Psychology. During his education he was part of a research team for multiple myeloma at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick. Since then, he has worked for the John Howard Society, as a Career Development Facilitator, helping clients get back into the workforce, and as a Residential Care Worker, assisting clients with their basic and instrumental activities of daily living. Tyler also works with the CHS Department of Human Health Factors, which offers psychological and physiological testing services to clients referred by third parties.
TMS Technician / Nurse / National Trained Coach
Nicole Marr-Woods is a certified NrTMS technician and a Nurse. She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 19 years. Nicole obtained her nursing degree at UNB and work in a rehabilitation unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 7 years. Nicole then became a care coordinator in the public field assisting clients with home care services, education in mental health and footcare. In addition to this, Nicole has a degree in psychology and is a certified National Coach.
